My name is Horizon and I am a soccer/football (sofo (?)) storyteller. Oh and I'm the founder of Horizon's United Football Club.
Horizon’s United Football Club and the game of football have completely changed how I see myself and my relationship and understanding of people and cultures from around the world. My social and cultural awareness have grown massively.
I developed Horizon’s United Football Club (or HUFC) because ever since I became a football fan, which was back in the summer of 2018, I have experienced endless disrespect, mis/under representation, exclusion and gatekeeping in the football community. I didn't feel seen, heard nor valued in "the world's" game.
Through these experiences, I could've turned away from football. However, I decided to create a space that confronts those issues.
